To bring it to the point: All you need is type!
Every individual has a unique typing behavior. Typed text is similar to
handwriting. Psylock uses statistical methods and artificial intelligence to
process and analyze typing samples. Psylock is a biometric method of
authentication without password or devices like sensor or smartcard. Psylock is
based on the characteristic typing behavior of an individual person.
Convenience: Users do not have to remember numerous passwords. Different to using biometric sensors or smartcards with Psylock users do not rely on expensive biometrical sensors or smartcards either. With Psylock anytime everywhere in the world authentication is possible.
Cost Reduction: Forgotten passwords could be expensive for a company (€40 to €160 per user are the annual cost for resets). Psylock authentication works without password, therefore no cost for resets. Also in comparison with other authentication processes (smartcards, sensor biometrics) does Psylock help to reduce cost, because no hardware except the standard keyboard is required.
Increased Security: Using a password does not really identify the user typing. Using Psylock the user is identified through his/her typing. It is estimated, that in companies about 25% of the used passwords are common knowledge. In a private environment passwords are often not careful enough guarded. In contrast the typing behavior can not passed on or stolen.

Psylock Password Reset offers a self-service solution for forgotten passwords in a company. How does it work?
Psylock Web Login secures automatically all web authentications where
in the past password have been
used. This includes the remote access to the company’s intranet via the
internet. The typing of a short sentence enables the access, all over the world.
Psylock API is available as Application Programming Interface. It provides the full functionality of the Psylock methodology. The Psylock API can be easily integrated into customer specific products and applications (login, as well as the electronic signature, intrusion detection, e-learning, integrations into single-sign-on solutions…).
In the normal day-to-day office routine a short sentence has to be typed. The text does not have to be kept secret, because with Psylock it depends on the characteristics of typing not what is being typed. Psylock is tolerant towards typing errors, as it is one of the characteristics. Before a person can use Psylock the process has to be trained. This happens during the enrolment where a short sentence has to be typed a number of times. The enrolment should not take longer than about 2 minutes.
